French company Hermes has teamed up with Monaco-based ship builder Wally to build the most amazing yacht; the ‘WHY 58×38’
Naval architect Mauro Sculii states:
“The advantage of traveling on the WHY boat is that you take your own space with you, your house, your island so you are not in a hurry to arrive, you just have the pleasure of traveling and being on board. That’s the novelty.”
At 90 million pounds ($US139M) it’s not for the casual shopper. Below are the first pictures of the project.

The WHY is 58 meters long and 38 meters wide.

The yacht has an area of 3400 square meters with seating for 12 passengers and 20 crew.

This is a “green” yacht. It uses green energy for up to 30% fuel savings and 50% electricity consumption. Solar panels cover 900 meters squared producing a daily output of 500 kW.

It has three decks, a 25 meter pool, a spa, a helicopter pad and a 100 meter squared area with hammock, sauna, gym and massage room, a promenade of 130 meters, a music room, dining room, cinema, sun decks, suites, terraces, and lounge. The decks are connected by stairs but there is also an elevator.

The bedroom has a sea view and a private 25 meter long terrace.

The yacht is shaped like a horseshoe and has a roof so everything is bathed in a sea of light.

On the lower deck is a lounge, piano bar and dining area.

The dining room opens onto the sea view.

For the guests, 5 suites with sea views (on the middle deck). It is also equpped with a reading room.
